Wilfred Adkins was born in Key West, Florida on February 13th, 1912. At the time of Wilfred’s enlistment in the U.S. Army, 1st Infantry Division, 1st Engineer Combat Battalion, Wilfred was 31 years old. Wilfred was the father of “4” children. He worked at the Midland mills of the Pittsburg Crucible Steel Company, in East Liverpool, Ohio.

Pvt. Wilfred Adkins is listed as “Missing In Action - Declared Dead” by the United States Army on June 6th, 1944 at Omaha Beach, Normandy, France.
